I’m Starting My Christmas Shopping NOW With…

Number One Item I am starting my Christmas shopping with…

Valor Candles in Humidor. Now, before you jump on me for Christmas shopping already, I seriously keep a shelf or two in my house for gifts. Whenever I find something cool, I grab it at that time. That way, holiday shopping doesn’t break me and I can get cool items on sale that my cousin didn’t see marked down the other day. But THESE candles are simply amazing. I have one on my desk now, in fact.

Valor Candles is also a local, Macon, Georgia company. Small business needs our support even more now. This fragrance is a big favorite of mine. Their website describes it as the scent of “un-smoked tobacco and cedar”. Me, I just say it smells good for men or women. It has a clean scent without being too…. too…. cleansing. It’s hard to describe. It’s just a nice smell for any environment and I would give them to anyone from a boyfriend to an in-law to your employees. And at the price point of under $15 on their website, it won’t break the bank but you also won’t come off as being cheap.

Along with the Humidor scent, I love the Irish Tweed- their newest scent. I also really have enjoyed their shave soap. It’s one of the best shaving items I have found, even next to L’Occitaine’s shave oil. But I like it in the Parlor scent- which is yet another great choice in a candle.

And I do have to add- I love the “Gentleman in Training” bib and onesies, for the little ones. It’s important to train our men to be gentlemen early!!! My son is almost 4 years old and he already opens doors for myself and his sister.

Something else I like to do when I am giving a gift is to be able to tell some background info about it. For instance, did you know Valor Candles were featured in the gift baskets for celebs at the Daytime Emmy Awards? It’s true! And the Sports Emmys as well. And this is a locally based company, working out of the small business incubator at The 567 Center for Renewal. Yep. All very cool facts to throw out.
