The Muses (Ancient Greek: Μοῦσαι, moũsai:^[1] perhaps from the o-grade of the Proto-Indo-European root *men- “think”^[2]) in Greek mythology, poetry, and literature, are the goddesses of the inspiration of literature, science and the arts.
