The Taylor Swift of Macon: Louise Warren

On January 3rd, 2014 I went to Taste and see to see Louise Warren. Apparently she was already pretty popular in Macon according to her fans in the audience in the small coffee shop. This singer song writer is only 23 years old, but yet has won so many awards in the area like Best Singer/Songwriter of Octoberfest in 2013. This young lady has a life ahead of her, and from her songs she isn’t afraid to speak what’s on her mind.

One of my favorite things about how she preforms is her stage presence. She interacts with the audience and isn’t afraid of anything. Her optimism shows through and the type of audience that seems to follow her around share her glow from that smile that shows some from of eternal youth that doesn’t speak age but wisdom in experiencing life to its fullest and not ignoring the small details. Louise Warren is a great example on how we can give back to the community.

What in the world could a Singer/Songwriter do to help anything? Well she is inspiring kids to continue on with music. During the performance she let one of her guitar students come up and sing Radioactive and Carry On. Both songs were covers, but she sang well for a 13 year old girl. Louise has the talent to see talent in others and inspire kids to work hard for their dreams. Something of this inspirational caliber I haven’t seen in a while because most people 18 and up usually don’t come back and help in a community setting. They are busy making their own way in the world. This young lady decided from the beginning that she would sing her heart out from a young age and not just leave Macon forever. Macon is the place to be, where things are happening and where opportunities arise.

She is a role model for kids and she means so much to them because she represents something that is attainable and personable to them. She doesn’t have the attitude that she doesn’t have enough time for that 8th grade kid in Marching Band wanting to learn a bunch of instruments all at once. She wants to help spur on a true passion for music, and in this town music is a language that won’t be dying out any time soon thanks to people like Louise Warren singing her dreams and showing kids they can to.Also just a little of a spoiler, Louise Warren may also be doing future writing for the website. Stay on the lookout for her reviews! Her website is:http://www.louisewarrenmusic.com/ . Defiantly seeing one of her concerts is a relaxing evening, something you can take kids to, and fun.
