Moments of Street Style: Second Sunday at Washington Park

So, it’s been my goal for a while to include in this blog moments of street style. While it is also tempting to write about the horrific things I see while out and about (like the lady today at Target who I SWEAR her skirt was so short I could see her behind cheeks…. I got photo proof) I find it would be best to write about when I see truly great moments of style.

Last Sunday I went to Second Sunday featuring Gringo Grande (a truly great band too- if you have not checked them out yet DO IT) and I saw a group of young ladies looking super cute. I will be honest- I told my friend who was with me that they looked like they were supposed to be in a band or something. They definitely stood out, but not really in a bad way. They were all really put together and cute! It looked like something I would wear in high school- suspenders and ties, etc. So I caught their eye at one point and asked them to come to me so I could tell them how cute they looked. Of course they were excited to hear that and they told me they were dressed up like the band One Direction (I’m pretty sure I got that correct but ladies correct me if I did not get that right).

I asked them if I could take their picture to post later. Please see below- this is a great example of taking a fashion risk paying off. Yes, they probably don’t dress like this on an ordinary basis BUT it’s still cute and I believe could be worked in to one’s daily wardrobe.
