The Petit Four War: Round 3

I will admit- I did not expect Round 3 of this to take place in Dublin- but it did.

I was in Dublin this past weekend for my Girl Meets Dublin post, which will be up in the next week or so, and the first stop was Haute: a Pop-Up Shop. I’ll have more details about this event later on BUT they had some petit fours among the various wine and cheese offerings at the door.

Of course, I knew I owed it to y’all to go ahead and try one for this blog post series.

These petit fours were much like the Wilson’s ones in that they had the sweet, thin sugar coating on the outside and the same flower up top. But, they were a lot thicker, much like those from LaKejona’s Bakery. They were super moist and had just enough sugary taste throughout. Not an easy task to pull off, I would think.

These petit fours are from Williamson’s Bakery, on Veteran’s Boulevard in Dublin. According to their Facebook page, they make all kinds of sweet treats. We did attempt to go there Saturday after our tour of Dublin and lunch at Deano’s- but sadly we got there too late. They close at 2 on Saturdays, but are open Tuesday through Friday from 7 am until 6 pm.

Of course, I’ll have more information very soon for all of y’all about what all else you can do in Dublin…. other than hunt for petit fours, of course.

Love to all y’all,
