Tasty Tuesday #3: Roasted Cafe and Lounge

If you haven’t made lunch plans yet READ THIS:

I went to Roasted Cafe and Lounge yesterday, owned by fellow Mercer Alum Nick Rizkalla. This is one of those places that I like to go to when I want to get out of the house either to study, get some work done, or just casually run in to friends. When the weather is nice you can sit on the patio and do some fun people watching as well.

What I like about Roasted is I can go here and get breakfast or lunch and it’s always amazing. It’s even one of the few places that I like to get iced coffee from (I don’t know why iced coffee isn’t as good to me- except here).

One random day when I went in there, Nick convinced me to try to falafel salad. I had never had falafel before and the only thing I knew about it was that there was a reference to it in that old 90’s movie “She’s All That”. Yes- I’m seriously referencing one of those cheesy movies from my high school days- you know you watched it too!!! Anyways…

yes- that’s all of my stuff just thrown out on the table

They don’t exactly look all that appetizing, but that’s the trick- they really are. And they’re good for you. Especially with this salad, paired with greens and avocado and tomato and cucumber with just the right amount of seasoning.

Don’t believe me? Go give it a try…

Love to all yall
