A Giant Comes to Bragg Jam

Leading up to Savannah Stopover I wrote a little piece for hissing lawns about the bands I wanted to go and see for my first Stopover.

After that piece, a local band called Lulu the Giant commented saying I should come and see them- so I did!

I just loved their sound, honestly, especially from such a young band. Lead singer and upright bassist Rachael Shaner is classically trained, and I honestly love her voice. Drummer Daniel Malone is a Michigan native who toured for 5 years with the band Les Racquet, he also lends his vocals to Lulu the Giant. And Alex Bazemore rounds out the band with his six-string.

I’m pretty stoked at the prospect of seeing them again, and I’m betting you will fall in love, too.

Love to all y’all,

Molly
