Thrifty Thursday #6
[collapse title=”Rumor: Thrifty Thursdays #6″ collapseid=”UniqueID”]Every Thursday you can expect a feature of some of the clothing, jewelry, shoes or other nick-nacks that I find in local thrift stores! I’ll also provide y’all with some thrifting tips on how to find these beauties!

With Spring Break coming up (2 days and counting), it’s almost time to break out those spring clothes!
You have your thrifted items and now it’s time to incorporate them into your spring look.
A big shout out to the amazing women at Rumor Boutique who helped me style this light denim shirt ($3.99 at Goodwill) that I thrifted into an essential part of a spring wardrobe!

This shirt is a simple button denim, so we decided to style it with a pair of bright red shorts, a simple teal beaded necklace, and a printed headband. It serves as the perfect casual spring look that you could easily find and put together. QUICK FACT: This headband along with many others that Rumor sells goes to relieve hunger in Uganda. It’s super cute and goes towards a great cause.

Next, we had fun and went with a patterned pair of shorts, and a simple belt. This type of look is perfect for a nice lunch out in Macon in the spring! NOTE: I’ve also thrifted those super cute brown sandals.
(Excuse the laughing/talking face).

Like I mentioned in the last Thrifty Thursday, you want to get the most out of your newly found treasure, so keep trying to pair and match your new thrifted item with the latest spring fashions. We went with this simple coral dress with two pieces of jewelry: a long beaded teal necklace with a gold accent, and a cream beaded shaped necklace. Just putting the denim shirt over the top made the look a bit more casual and light.

Lastly, we went with a simple, but elegant laced pair of black shorts and a beautiful beaded necklace. This simple look is perfect for a day at the park or for showing off at the upcoming Macon Cherry Blossom festival!

[dropcap_blue]THRIFTY TIP #6:[/dropcap_blue]
[clear]
[dropcap_pink]Cleanliness is Key[/dropcap_pink]
[margin_5b]
So the thrifty tip this week is a bit obvious, but it is one that needs to be made known to new thrifters. Make sure you are adequately prepared to thrift. Meaning, when you go to thrift stores, I HIGHLY recommend that you wear a camisole, leggings and socks that you can wash when you get home. This is to potentially protect you from what other people might’ve left behind. BUT! Don’t let this discourage you! All those clothes just need a good wash.
Thrifting is treasure hunting. So from one treasure hunter to another, keep on thrifting!
You looks amazing – All outfits are great:)
The coral dress with denim shirt looks magnificent!!!!
