The Perfect Mother’s Day Gifts: Rumor Boutique

Rumor Boutique has been one of my very favorite boutiques ever since they first opened their doors. I even remember who went with me (Meg Gay) when we went (an afternoon of shopping after we got back from ADPi Spirit Week) and what I bought (a LeTigre pink tank top). This is one place I feel confidant to send y’all to get amazing Mother’s Day gifts.

 

Rumor always has an amazing selection of clothing and jewelry. A new line they are carrying is E Newtown designs, a line of delicate handmade jewelry. Personally, I find that jewelry which is delicate can be hard to find= especially handmade. And I love that stuff because you can wear it over and over again without having to balance it out with your clothing.

 

 

The bracelets are easily stackable with others of that line or even other designers.

 

One of my very favorite lines at Rumor Boutique is the Moon & Lola jewelry line, based out of North Carolina. Designer Kelly Shatat used to be a pharmacist before turning to designing her own jewelry line, and named it after the nicknames she and her best friend used for one another in college. I own their monogram necklace, their Charleston pearls, their Hashtag necklace, earrings, rings, bracelets, and more.

 

 

 

Be sure to let Judy and Ashley know if you want a particular item- even if you don’t see it on the floor because they can order it from Moon & Lola.

 

Bracha is another newer line to Rumor, and for the cause-conscious Mom this is the perfect gift. Twenty percent of their proceeds go towards abolishing Human Trafficking through partnerships with The A21 Campaign and Rescue Her. Their line is full of large statement pieces for the lady who likes her jewelry larger than life.
