OMG I Am In Trouble- FOJ Is Open For Breakfast

I’m on campus a lot more these days, you know the whole full time student no real regular daytime job hours thing, and so while I am the 30 year old taking classes at night I’m still here a lot during the day. And frankly I love the whole Mercer Village atmosphere and I’m still pissed they didn’t have this when I was a freshman- ANYWAYS….

I drive by today and oh. my. God. FOJ (um- Fountain of Juice for those of you NOT in the know) is open again from breakfast. The last time I remember them doing this was when I worked for WMAZ, so at least a year ago? Maybe? Whatever so of course I’m now going to be here even more. Not just for my out of the home coffee fix at JJ’s in the Village but also when I need something a little more refined for my morning palate. Maybe after yoga at Pure Balance (um there is NOTHING like starting your day off at 6:30 am with Susannah over there- just isn’t- been once and I’m hooked) and before running off to the campus gym.

Today for my first foray in to the new again breakfast world at FOJ I got the ham,egg and hollandaise. Hollandaise is amaze-balls anyway. It’s a sauce of egg yolk and BUTTER- sometimes with lemon juice or other seasonings. FOJ uses tarragon and salt and pepper to season theirs.

It’s also served on a croissant which is just a WIN whenever. You can eat it as a sandwich, but I wouldn’t recommend it because that is what I did and I forgot napkins and I didn’t look particularly lady-like doing it. Whoops. (Sue me I was hungry.)

*note: photos they added some garnish to make it look pretty, yours may not come with it

*don’t yall LOVE the pretended accidental product placement for Weaver’s Weekend? make sure you go! it’s this weekend!

Get over to FOJ asap to try your own breakfast- I think I’m going to be back over there soon for lunch… maybe even today! You know the caprese sandwich sounds pretty damn good right about now… hmmmmm

Love to all yall,
