Monday’s Mizz Mac Art Lessons: Landscape Finger Painting

Finger Paint Landscape Collage

Supplies needed:

 

  • 1 sheet of finger paint paper per student cut to fit finger paint trays
  • 1 finger paint tray per student
  • Blue and green finger paint
  • White, green, and pink tempera paint
  • 1 brush per student
  • 1 ¼ sheet of 9×12 white construction paper per student
  • 1 brown crayon per student per student
  • 1 small sheet of origami paper cut in a diamond shape per student
  • 1 glue stick per student
  • 1 pair of scissors per student

 

Directions

  • Finger paint with blue paint all over the finger paint paper, creating spirals of paint.
  • Finger paint with green paint on the bottom of the paper, creating vertical lines to look like grass.
  • Paint white puffy clouds in the sky.
  • Set aside to dry.
  • Draw a brown rectangular tree trunk with curvy lines for limbs on the small white paper.
  • Paint green leaves on the tree.
  • Paint pink flowers on the green leaves.
  • Set aside to dry. When dry, cut out the tree.
  • Glue the tree on the finger paint paper. Glue the diamond shaped kite in the sky.
  • Optional- Draw the kite’s tail and crossbars with a thin black permanent marker
