Kids Music for the New Year

As a parent, I’m always faced with the challenge of what extra curricular activities to sign my kids up for, now I’m lucky that our school has a lot to offer in that way but not everyone is so lucky. Before my kids were enrolled in school, I had them signed up for The Music Class, also known as My First Music Class. We specifically signed up for the one at the Lutheran Church on the corner of Ingleside and Pierce Avenue.

Miss Erica, as she is know to the kids, is amazing. The courses are great for kids starting as young as infants and ranging up to the age of seven. They are, of course, sectioned off by age. And numerous studies have shown that music has lifelong benefits to aiding children in their development.

Now, this would honestly make an excellent present from grandparents to parents of young children. A lot of times as a parent you just want things for your kids that are educational that you might not buy otherwise. And I’ve got a present for you! Use the code “Molly2015” to get a discount when you sign up!

This discount is only good through the 20th of this month, so don’t waste time. This is a class that I enrolled my own children in and they had a total blast, and Miss Erica is the same teacher that my kids had! Ms. Erica brings a lifelong love of music and the performing arts to My First Discovery Music Class. She began piano lessons at age 8, adding private vocal instruction by high school. Erica has always enjoyed drama as well, whether in church or local children’s theatre, and broadened her musical versatility through choral performance. College brought years of beloved washboard band music, many times performed in nursing homes and at community events. Erica is a founding member of Forsyth Community Chorale, a non-audition choral performance group, whose mission statement is “to share the joy of singing.” Motherhood introduced Erica to the vast world of developmental music, which she enjoys sharing with her two daughters.

So, you can see this is someone you can definitely trust with your kids beginning music education.
