If I Could Have Any Bag In The World It Would Be… Part Two

Whew… ok, I think that itching urge to drag out every single credit card I have to buy purses has subsided to safe levels again. Let’s get back to my “If I Could Have Any Bag In The World” list, shall we?

Christian Dior- Saddle Bag

What I love about the Dior Saddle Bag is while it has a very unique shape- the shape of a jockey’s seat- it has also been made in multiple patterns. Everything from a floral pattern to even a newsprint pattern. I truly fell in love with this bag after multiple appearances on Sex and the City. To quote Dior himself about purses:“You can wear the same suit from morning to dinner—but to be really perfectly dressed, you can not keep the same bag. For morning, it must be very simple, and for the evening, it must be smaller and, if you wish, a little more fancy.” Agreed. Well said. And the Dior Saddle Bag allows you to dress up any outfit, and be a little or a LOT more outstanding.

Marc Jacobs- Stam Bag

Ok… maybe THIS will be my next purchase, as opposed to the Louis Vuitton Damier Azur. I just love this bag, it was the first one to make me love the top handle/longer chain stap combo. And the quilting… I’ve never been much of a big Chanel fan (first- please quell your horror and accusations of blasphemy… and two- I still love Chanel sunglasses) so the quilting controversy never has bothered me. And the bright colors, OMG, I think accessories are the best and easiest way to add color in to any wardrobe. Even more so for the professional lady and her suits.

Gucci- 90th anniversary bag, python top handle bag

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an image of the 90th anniversary bag that I love so much. I remember it fondly: I was living in Athens, was really getting in to fashion for the first time, worked at a high end boutique, parents paid my bills, college was easy- life was really good. And I fell in love with this bag, but with it’s $5,000 price tag I knew it was in the realm of “You-Will-Never-Have-This-Unless-You-Win-The-Lottery or Maybe-Marry-A-Millionaire”. Since I never play the lottery and I was never one to use college to pursue an MRS, I knew this probably wouldn’t happen. I will keep searching for an image…

Meanwhile, this python top handle bag will do- it’s amazing in it’s own right. I love the shape of this bag, it’s so different and the mustard python is a unique color. One of those bags which could stand alone as a statement piece or blend in well with other patterns and trends.

Apparently, a $5000 price tag and Gucci seems to be my fate… I’ll also take the much less expensive supreme canvas tote…

Prada- Saffiano Lux Tote

I mean really, what else is there to say? I love a classic, elegant tote. Prada always stands the test of time, and they have some of the best color selections. I especially love this pink color:

Fendi- any baguettes!

Fendi has a special place in my heart, it’s the first designer bag I owned, and still own also! I love their baguettes, they are as varied as the Dior Saddle Bags. Both are a work of art in their own right, so many different patterns and varieties. You could have a baguette to match any possible outfit creation.

Tory Burch- Roslyn Stripe Tote, Robinson Mini Bag

Ok ok ok, THIS will be my next purchase. Of all the bags on my list, these are the most affordable AND the most colorful! What an easy way to brighten up one’s day. And this lil lady has a birthday coming up… anyone wanna get me one? 😉 The Roslyn Stripe Tote has the classic Tory Burch logo with a great pop of color and lots of room for my stuff. The Robinson Mini bag has this great long chain to go cross my body, but can also be used as a clutch for my many evening events.

Ok yall… I’m exhausted and emotionally spent from all of this. My head is spinning and thank GOD my purse is well out of grabbing range. I hope you all have enjoyed this list as much as I have had to restrain my spending to type it!
