Gameday Fashions: How to Incorporate Two Teams Colors

Generally on gameday you’re going to find me representing my two favorite teams: Mercer and Georgia. The both of them share a color: black. Easy enough. But Mercer’s other color is orange, and Georgia’s is red. Until Mercer football started back 6 years ago you wouldn’t have caught me anywhere near wearing orange in the fall. Orange was the color of Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, and everything else ugly. Gross.

However, Mercer is my alma mater and the place where my heart is for a great majority of the sporting months. So I have to incorporate orange into my gameday threads.

So, what to do when you’ve got to incorporate both teams and some of their colors clash? I for sure can’t wear orange and red together.

The solution is easy! For your main outfit, go with neutrals, then accessorize with the colors of the respective teams.

Bracelets are an easy way to do it:

There’s also scarves once the weather gets a little colder:

So many of these pieces have lasted me for multiple years, which is why it’s worth it to invest in your wardrobe! Thank you as always to Rumor Boutique, Karats and Keepsakes, Mint Boutique, and even my own kiddos Lily + B Designs for their sweet jewelry.

How do you like to dress for gameday?

Love to all y’all,
