Dinner Tonight: Appetites for Advocacy

 

 

What are you doing for dinner tonight?

 

May I suggest going to Cheddar’s on Riverside Drive, in Macon, if you are in Middle Georgia?

 

The reason being, tonight there will be celebrity waitstaff raising funds to benefit the Crisis Line and Safe House of Middle Georgia.

 

According to this CDC report from 2012, One in Five women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. I think it’s rather safe to say from that statistic alone, that anyone reading this post will know a lady who has been sexually assaulted. The amount of help that these women need…. it’s immeasurable. But I can tell you that Crisis Line and Safe House does an amazing job for our community by being here not just for these women but also those that love them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can see some of the names of the Middle Georgia celebrity waiters above- I’m also told it’s fun to go and heckle them. Not that I would *ever* do that myself….

 

I certainly hope to see y’all there! I’ll be stopping by after the Public Hearing for the Museums.
