Behind the Scenes: Bourbon and Boots Article

OMG- there were so many things I wanted to put in that article and I couldn’t because of space!!!

Like The Arts Alliance- there’s always an amazing show there on First Fridays. Never fails that I find something absolutely awe inspiring there. And, if I had unlimited funds, my home would be filled with items from here. My walls would be a veritable Joseph’s Technicolor Dreamcoat of various paintings and items.

Good To Go– I can’t say enough about their family box meals. Of course, that wouldn’t really be relevant for this article anyway as the food would feed you for more than just a weekend- but still…

Bearfoot Tavern– pretty much addicted to their Veggie Tacos. I don’t think they’re even technically on the menu anymore but I order them anyway. Cause I’m a rebel and all like that.

All of the coffee shops: Taste and See, Roasted (which I did mention briefly), and Jittery Joe’s. These places allow me to keep the virtual caffeine IV drip going in my veins without totally annoying each one too often with my Lorelai Gilmore-like “COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE” chant.

Ocmulgee Indian Mounds– This is a rite of passage that each Maconite and visitor should go through, getting to climb the mounds and connect with the people who were here way before we were.

The Tubman Museum, Sports Hall of Fame and Children’s Museum– I can’t wait for the Tubman to move in to their new home, can you imagine what it will be like to have all three of those museums right by each other?! Especially when the weather is slightly warm and the kids can play in the fountain afterwards?

And not even THIS list covers it all!!! Imagine if I could live downtown?! Oh wait- I can.
