A Forever Love -Happy Valentine’s Day!

I took my first visit to the S.A.F.E. Adoption Center here in Macon, Georgia.

I was inspired to go after a story on WGXA, and little Lou captured my interest. She was a spotty dog, and looked like one that my children might love.

My curiosity was peaked, and I thought I might stop in.

I was hesitant, afraid that the place might just break my heart. That I would want to take them ALL home with me, especially with the knowledge that some might soon die- the shelter stays at maximum capacity.

I’m happy to report that this is a lovely facility, and the people here are doing great work.

I did not bring Lou home with me, I wasn’t sure if I would be home enough for her. My children would love her for sure, that I could tell. But with my work and travel schedules, would I have the time to love this little one? I definitely have the heart.

I’m taking at least a day ot two to consider it. But I would urge you all- adopt don’t shop. Pick up a sweet baby if you are so inclined who has been cast aside, for whatever reason, and is only looking for a forever home in which to be loved.

And if there is someone else out there who is sure they can give little baby Lou the time she deserves, please pick her up for me.

Love to all y’all,

Molly
