12 Outfits from Rumor Boutique in 12 Years
I remember the very first thing I bought at Rumor Boutique, and I’m pretty sure it was the same week they opened- if not the first day!
I went with my sorority sister, Meg, to go shopping. We had already been by Karats and Keepsakes as well as Sorella and stopped in just one more place.
We each bought – and I’m telling y’all I know this dates me- pink Le Tigre tank tops.
(This is not the actual outfit of course, but it was right before this point in time. This was durng ADPi recruitment at Mercer. Check out my blonde hair!!)
Since then, I’ve shopped at Rumor consistently and worn their outfits either for photo shoots or special occasions. Here’s my 12 Outfits in 12 Years- to celebrate their 12th Anniversary!
The Southern Belle: Revised, Revamped, Reborn:
This was one of my favorite photo shoots with Neal Carpenter. We featured outfits from a bunch of local spots… including a moment where I climbed a grain silo. Whoops.
Here I was gifted this awesome “Macon” necklace from Rumor and Moon + Lola, especially to express my Macon Love! And later I spoke in this post about how I loved to layer jewelry:
While this photo shoot doesn’t feature me in front of the camera, I was behind the camera for the styling. It was also one of the first shoots I did with the now very well known Matt Odom.
Beautiful Clothes and a Beautiful Life:
So, my mom actually photographed me for this little impromptu shoot at Tattnall Square Park. I love a little frill and this French skirt from Rumor did just the trick!
These pants ended up being a part of my Girl Meets Dublin post, but we got this photo inside the store just before heading out.
Yes, I bicycled in heels for this one.
Technically, not an outfit. But I still use this Swell bottle all the time!!
This was my first photo shoot with Lisa Crosby for a New Year’s styled photo shoot this past winter. It was also nice because I didn’t exactly stay on top of my workout plan that year, and I was glad to know I could still look super cute- even with the weight gain.
This romper was the perfect item to traipse around Asheville for a visit to see my very dear friend, Melanie.
While you can’t see much of the dress, it was a key part of this photo shoot with Ty Myrick Photography.
8 Rules for Dating a Football Loving Lady:
Based on a true story, thank you to Anthony and Brandon for filming. And here’s a still shot of that romper:
These jeans and this top helped to launch my very first Girl Meets City post!
So, even though this lists off 12 of my outfits from Rumor- when I look over my Instagram account I realize there are many, many more. Especially this jacket:
And again for my visit to Ole Miss, along with this awesome blanket scarf:
That one time I was in a movie:
And practically on top of the world at the Empire State Building:
There’s just entirely too many times to list them all!
Please join me in wishing Rumor a very happy 12th Birthday and be sure to stop by on the 18th for all kinds of fun!!
Love to all y’all- and especially Rumor Boutique, for keeping me well dressed for 12 years,
Molly
