The Easiest, Chicest Party Dress Ever
I am in love. I have fallen helplessly and deeply in love with my new favorite party dress- courtesy of Chicwish.
Now, y’all know I love to shop local. I do. I do, I do. But everynow and then you’ll get a very specific idea of something that you want in your head and with as much traveling as I do, I sometimes have to shop from home in my pj’s in the bed. It’s just my reality.
Note: I’m always a little leary of online shopping because you just don’t know how items are going to fit. So, I suggest this: always check out the return policy. OR- if you are like me- go ahead and resign yourself to the fact that you probably will forget to return it and just sign up for Threadflip because they will send you the pre-addressed package to mail items to them and then you get store credit with them. (Yes I realize this is counter intitutive when I could just return the item outright and get a potential full refund. It’s just one of my many adorable quirks.)
But this dress, when it arrived and fit me to a “t” I knew it was the one. You see, it’s wedding season over here. I knew in one weekend I had at least one wedding to go to, potentially two, well ahead of time. So I needed a dress that could pass for a 5:00 o’clock non-specified dress code event to also black tie. And here it is:
I love the slightly retro look and fit of this dress, it’s tailored throughout the top and flares out from the waist. The length of the dress hits in between my knees and my ankles, which allows for maximum movement without being encumbered by a long dress.
The floral pattern works for any season of the year, and the fabric is slightly heavier- great for the cooling temps, but since it’s sleeveless still allows me to not get too hot. AND I can go with simple accessories and be perfectly dressed up.
So check out Chicwish.com for similar looks!
Love to all y’all,
Molly
