Tasty Tuesday: Chico & Changs

When friends refer you to a restaurant, and they work in the restaurant business, you can take a guess that it’s going to be good.

This was definitely the case for Chico & Chang. They have a cool menu with a lot of options. It’s a Mexican/Korean fusion restaurant with Korean tacos, burritos, and rice bowls.

First you decide if you want a taco, burrito, or the Bibimbap- the rice bowl.

Then you decide on beef/pork/chicken, or veggie or tofu.

You can also get other items that they list as “snacks” like Asian nachos, french fries, and Taiwanese chicken nuggets.

I opted for the taco with beef and the spicy chicken rice bowl.

One thing they cautioned me on is that the rice bowl comes with an egg, and some people are put off by that. (Not me.)

The taco was yummy and the rice bowl was really good- just spicy enough for me without being overpowering. And I like that I was getting a good mix of protein, carbs, and veggies.

Another interesting thing to note: I realized I recognized the owners. They used to own the Mandarin on Riverside! But they sold it several years ago. This made me feel better about coming back because I always loved their previous business.

All in all, this is a great place to go. I’m even considering asking them if our next Cash Mob can be there!

Love to all y’all,
