Have a Sweet Time with Decadent Treats (In Macon AND Warner Robins!)

Y’all. I had a difficult time the other night, a real, true, crisis moment.

I couldn’t decide which dessert I wanted.

Did I want the cookie skillets, with homemade gelato on top?

Or did I want the mascarpone cakes, or the cookies, or the many different colored gelato and sorbet?

I TRULY WANTED IT ALL. I have a major sweet tooth, and I’ll love nearly all candied & sugared up confections. Plus, everything was made right there and it was just so darn pretty to look at which let me know it would be even all the more better to eat and I am SPEAKING IN RUN ON SENTENCES I WAS SO EXCITED.

Downtown Macon’s newest hot spot is Decadent Dessert Bar on Poplar Street. They’ve also got a location in Warner Robins that opened a few months ago. The store looks like something out of a perfect urban town in a book, with all of the pretty things to eat and even pretty chairs to sit on.

I learned from their owner- who I did get his name but honestly I got so excited talking to him that I promptly forgot it- that while this store is licensed in other towns… the great majority of the recipes are his own. Items passed down even from mothers and grandmothers. Things that he and his bakers get to play with and invent, like the gelato they made up from crumbles of their brownie bars.

This time, I got the Donut Hole Skillet with Vanilla Gelato. It was everything I could have wanted and more.

But I’m left wanting more, will it be the triple layer chocolate cake? The pink gelato?

Even though I went to their Macon location, just opened this week, don’t forget they also have a very new location in Warner Robins. So, something to satisfy anyone in these two towns!

What do you want to try when you visit?

Love to all y’all,

Molly
