Beauty Bits- Product Preview: Bath and Body Works Spring Products
Bath and Body Works is a staple to many, especially for me. They carry a variety of scents and products from lip balm to soap to socks. I have always liked the fruit scents of B&BW because they are natural and do not smell like cleaner or overly artificial. A few of their recent products that I took a look at this week included a mini candle, hand sanitizer (personal favorite!), lounge socks, and tinted lip balm.
B&BW has been making us all smell wonderful for a while but I have never personally tried any of their candles until now and it was amazing. The strawberry scent was refreshing and light. I find strawberry to be a scent that is often overdone and can come off too strong or artificial, especially in candles that stink up your entire room. HOWEVER, I found this candle to be the opposite and it was great. It had a light scent that was natural without being sickly sweet. I loved it in my dorm room (candles aren’t allowed in the dorm so SHHH…..)
Cold and flu season lasts way too long. I do not know about you but I know I have no time to get sick. Being in college and in close contact with so many people in my dorm building and in my classes I find myself washing my hands constantly. I find anything that I can grab and go with is much easier than having to hunt down a sink and soap. B&BW is my favorite place to get hand sanitizer, and if it’s lemon scented? All the better! From my personal experience, lemon is one of the hardest fruit scents to imitate. Lemon is my favorite scent but it can often smell too much like cleaner. Instead of smelling like Clorox wipes, this hand sanitizer was clean, fresh, and got the job done.
Socks. Got to have them. These shea-infused socks are perfect for lounging around in. I love the neon colored stripes with the gray. They are soft and warm and they have little rubberized dots on the soles to keep you from slipping. The rubberized dots are definitely the plus for me because I have a tendency to be less than graceful.
I love any kind of lip balm. I even have a goal to finish an entire tube one day. This lip balm is passion fruit flavored and though the color is a little daunting the color goes on with a mild tint and it is a good finishing touch for any look. It smells and feels incredible. It is passion fruit, a scent that I have not seen a whole lot of. The taste is not overwhelming and is a pleasant surprise every time you lick your lips.
