Picking the Perfect Table & an Old House Discovery

I’m in the middle of renovating an older home- yay!

Well, sort of.

I bought the home in November and my father has been diligently working on the electrical items since.

Now we’re on the items that I can actually help with! But let me backtrack just a tad. You’ve likely seen my Facebook live videos with Andrew Eck for Georgia Artisan. He and I spoke again recently about how to use their website to order custom furniture items:

Pretty nifty, right?

Well as I am renovating this home I know I want one of his tables. If you watched that video you’ll see I floundered a bit on what exactly I wanted. I initially thought I wanted one with a dark stain.

After this weekend I think I need to go with a lighter stain- look at what I discovered under the carpets!!!

This was in the foyer. So I went on to the dining room, which is where my glorious Georgia Artisan table will go.

Not only did I discover more beautiful floors, but my boyfriend thought to go ahead and take the tiles off of the fireplace.

Also at that time I had picked up paint samples, and these are what I was looking at:

See how well they would go with the original tiles?! I’d do the Blue Peacock on the walls and the North Star on the wainscoting. I may even add a gold stenciling on an accent wall.

I’m super excited to see how it all comes together!!!

What kind of Georgia Artisan table should I get to go with my newly discovered floors, beautiful green fireplace tiles, and Blue Peacock walls?!
