The Macon Baking Company Opens!

Macarons. Ritz crackers with peanut butter covered in chocolate. Brioche. Cupcakes with whiskey sauce. Chocolate rolls. Macarons. Chocolate chip cookies with oreo INSIDE OF THEM KEPT WARM IN A WARMING DRAWER. Gooooooodbye diet! Hello sweetness!

Now I have to note: The Macon Baking Company isn’t exactly open yet, but they will be on Tuesday- November the 25th. I got to have a little sneak peak today, however, and I’m happy to report on what I found.

First up: tiny Macarons. Well, like two bites each. I had the raspberry one, and it has this amazing jam filling inside of it. But not too much, just enough to give a tease of a taste.

Next, I tried the chocolate roll and some kind of raspberry and cream cheese filled creation- I didn’t get the name because I was overwhelmed and excited all at once!

THEN these cookies, and again I forget their name, but they are Oreos with chocolate chip around it and they’re going to keep them warm in a WARMING DRAWER. Holy Sweet Baby Jesus I am literally dying over this.

And they’ve got bread, and these Ritz crackers with peanut butter and chocolate. And cupcakes.

Did I mention the macarons? NOT macaroons- but the French Macaron, these little French sweet-meringue based items which have become the dessert du jour as of late.

So, congrats to The Macon Baking Company, opening on Tuesday November 25th! They are on Forsyth Road, where Hello There Cupcake used to be, next to Haven and Karats and Keepsakes.

Thank you so much for having me!

Love to all y’all,
