Help Needed! Shoe Poll: The FOODIES.

Ok yall, yall helped me last year and I need it again. I have three different options for shoes for the FOODIES this year. Now, ironically enough one of them is the pair I wore last year, from Head Over Heels. One is a pair I got on sale at DSW recently. And the other is a pair also from Head Over Heels- which I wore to the FOODIES in 2009 (for the 2008 awards)- and funny enough I wore the same pair in black in 2008 (2007 awards) with a dress from Ginger Michelle. THIS dress is from Bella’s Classy Rags, and I love it!

Anyways. Here is a picture of the dress I am wearing:

ok, not the best pic... but what can i do with little to no light?

To fit with the 80’s theme of the FOODIES- this dress has molded cups as well as decadent beading and feather detail. The shoes need to be somewhat straight forward and simple, but still fit in with the theme of the dress. I have three pairs to choose from, as mentioned above.

Candidate number one:

Dionne, front view, from Head Over Heels in Macon, GA

Dionne, side view

This is the shoe I wore with a dress from Karats and Keepsakes to the 2009 FOODIES, the black version I wore the year before that. I frankly love these shoes because they are so versatile. Like, I would buy them in every color. I also like the not-so-high-heel. But I am afraid it might compete too much with this dress. Thoughts?

Candidate number two:

katie and kelly, side view, from DSW in Macon (and on clearance too!)

katie and kelly, front view

I like these shoes because while they have a gold-ish metallic color, they are SO gold as to compete with this dress. Yet they still have the touch of embellishment that I really think is necessary to compliment the dress. Medium height heel. But I have yet to really walk in them to see how they will do during a long night.

Candidate number three:

Enigma, front view, Head Over Heels, Macon, GA

Enigma, side view

Even though I wore these shoes last year, I still think they might work this year. For one, last year’s dress was so long, it’s not like you really saw them. Two, the snakeskin material is still very relevant now and I think would be  a great compliment. Cons? It might be too much of a bronze color for this dress. Pro and con- heel height. They are definitely some rather high heels, especially when paired with the platform for the ball of the foot. But they surprisingly walk well for such a height.

Ahhhh decisions decisions… I need some help yall! And if you see any other shoes out there PLEASE take pics and post them here!

Thanks yall!

Love,

I LOVE the first pair, but I think the second pair works best for the dress. The dress is absolutely stunning! A true show-stopper!

I didn’t design my own dress, but my mom sewed it for me, so it was cheap like yours. I love the avidce you got with your dress that’s wonderful avidce. Today, I baked cookies that my husband likes for him. And since he’s working late tonight, I’m waiting up for him so we can talk when he gets home.
