Dovetail Lunch Menu002

It’s no secret that Dovetail in downtown Macon is one of my very most favorite hot spots. I’ve been on the road so much here lately that I hadn’t been in a whole lot- until recently. And trust me, I more than made up for it when I managed to go in three times this weekend. It’s true! Hell I even went for dinner even after two pieces of pizza from Main Street Pizza (delivered to my Leadership Macon class, who was meeting at Just Tap’d).

Dinner is always amazing, and the cocktails are incredible- so it should be no surprise that my new Food & Cocktail Editor is no other than Ryan Smith, who bartends there on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

But if you are lucky- it looks like some evenings they are offering sneak peeks of their upcoming lunch menu. I have not been so lucky as to make it, but they have made some posts on their Facebook page about it.

For instance, on January 21st they posted this photo to their Facebook page:

“Want an early sample of what is coming from the Dovetail lunch menu?

Tonight we have a duck confit BBQ sandwich made from pulled duck leg, with a housemade bbq sauce, and a pecan slaw, and served on a Macon Baking Company croissant.

Try it tonight and make it a favorite once our lunch begins in February!” – This is what the photo caption read.

And then there was this photo on January 13th:

” This is our ham salad sandwich topped with melted gruyere, a black pepper vinaigrette, and local mixed greens, served on a Macon Baking Company croissant.

We will be sharing more of our lunch menu items as the week continues. Keep your eyes right here!”

Now, I don’t know if they will be sharing anymore sneak peeks live and in person, but I would recommend keeping a close eye on their Facebook page for more announcements, and right here, of course, as well.
