Behind the Scenes of my Mulberry Market Article in Southern Style
*a note: i am NOT a videographer, i am still learning how to make videos; i took these shots with a camera that is really old; i beg your forgiveness
Ok, so now that we got the disclaimer out of the way…
Hands down, this was one of my favorite articles to write (once I see it posted online I will link here for those who do not get the printed Telegraph– for those of you who do read it in Southern Style now- thank you).
Planning a dinner is no small task, and I have been wanting to do this article for a little while. A way to show people that going to local farmers markets is totally feasible and affordable. I got in to the particulars in the article itself so I will spare you that here.
Hopefully you sat through my awful video- I didn’t even get shots of the ridiculously awesome dessert. Oopsie.
The food was freaking amazing- and we had plenty of leftovers. I will admit I was rude and dashed out of there rather quickly, I did have homework due at midnight that night, but I’m sure our lovely hosts enjoyed the leftovers.
I did intend to interview each of our guests that evening for this blog post along with the video, but frankly I got really busy. Who knew starting a business could be so hard?! (Kidding.)
All joking aside, I hope yall enjoyed this as much as we did creating the food, doing the research, writing the article, and having dinner with lovely friends.
*another note, Chef Reid has moved to a farm south of here to White Oak Pastures– feel free to wish him best of luck here!
