The Southern Bon Vivant’s Excuse to Get Dressed Up

Every Southern Bon Vivant needs an excuse to get dressed up. Many times it’s a fundraiser, a wedding, even a football game depending on your level of dressing up!

Even with everything happening of my neck of the woods tonight, I’m going to get all dolled up for the Macon Pops concert. I believe there are still balcony seats left at under $20, however the tables are sold out. Last years concerts were absolutely amazing- I was literally shocked at how amazing the City Auditorium looked: it was amazing.

This is literally a party! Music, food, cocktails, dancing and a ton of fun! In fact one of my favorite profile pictures comes courtesy of Maryann Bates, if this doesn’t tell you everything then I don’t know what else will:

Ok so let’s say this doesn’t tell you everything you need to know. How about this quote from Matt Catingub, Artistic Director and Conductor, from the Macon Pops website: ” It is with great pride we welcome you to what promise to be one of the great cultural and musical attraction for Macon…. [this is] a new kind of event that includes not only brilliant musical performances, but also the element of casual fun.”

Do you love music? Do you love food? Do you love being around all of your friends? I’m suspecting you do if you’re reading this- if so you have GOT to check this out. Seriously. It’s a fabulous excuse to get dressed up, also 😉

I hope to see you there!

Love to all y’all,

Molly
